Qualcomm Satellite Phone added to IP-6600 Router Configuration
|
Now shipping... The IP-6600 Router now includes standard
setup for the Globalstar Qualcomm satellite phone/modem ! After extensive testing with government and other high volume customers, DCB is releasing the IP-6600 router with a new firmware upgrade that includes the Globalstar Qualcomm phone/modem as member of the standard modem list. This change will allow quick and easy setup by simply selecting the modem name from a drop-down box in the configuration. The IP-6600 is an industrial rated router featuring two serial ports and two Ethernet LAN ports with -40 to +85C temperature rating. This combination is ideal for extremely remote pole-top and roving applications. Read the datasheet here. |

EtherPath Redirect with Port Redirector Software
|
Now shipping... Tactical Software's Serial/IP and the
EtherPath Redirect! DCB and Tactical Software joined forces to allow us to ship the new EtherPath Redirect serial server with a server-locked version of Tactical Software's Serial/IP port redirector software. Tactical Software's Serial/IP has long been the port redirector of choice for Windows machines, and has been available through DCB as a separate product for many years. This two port version of Tactical's flagship software is "server-locked" to the EtherPath Redirect, providing for a simple, quick install on all versions of Microsoft Windows. The software is included on a CDROM with every EtherPath Redirect serial server. Read the datasheet here. |

DNP-3 Gateway Introduced
|
Gateway between DNP-3/ethernet and DNP-3 serial! The EtherDNP3 DNP-3/TCP or DNP-3/UDP to Serial DNP-3 gateway is a two port ethernet DNP-3 to serial DNP-3 gateway or converter. DIN rail mounting, two serial ports, 10/100BaseT, various power supplies. Use it to extend the life of your old RTUs when converting to ethernet or to allow multi-drop serial RTUs behind a single LAN connection. Read the data sheet here. |

Encrypted Ethernet Tunnel
|
Link two Ethernet sites via an Encrypted Tunnel! The ET-6600 is an encrypted Ethernet tunnel appliance that transports virtually any Ethernet protocol via insecure links using 128 bit AES ecnryption. Simply place one device on each LAN, link them via TCP/IP (either a broadband connection or serial PPP), and the two LANs are bridged without the expense and problems of VPN implementations. DS-3 / E3
100BaseT Interface Device
|
Now, you can transport full duplex 100BaseT via DS3 or E3
lines for under $1600 . The IP-6100 is a 100BaseT to either DS-3 or E-3 access Unit. It provides connectivity from high speed 100 BaseT full duplex Ethernet to either DS3 or E3 networks. A small, economical, reliable way to transport 100BaseT Ethernet traffic via DS3 or E3 networks. here. |

Internal
Modem Added to The IP-6600 Async Router
|
New internal V.92 modem option added to the IP-6600 family of
asynchronous routers. The IP-6600 is an industrial rated router featuring two serial ports and two Ethernet LAN ports. The new IP-6690 model includes an industrial temperature rated internal V.92 modem. Since each Ethernet and serial port is independent, the router has many uses in addition to the commonly used dial-in, dial-out and asynchronous LAN connection modes. The IP-6600 works well with DSL, cable or dial modems, leased line modems, CDPD or GSM modems, wireless links, satellite modems, the DCB DA-56 DSU, or even simple line drivers.Read the data sheet here. |

We're Still Here! Though You Couldn't Call us.
|
Major Communications Outage Affects The International Trade
Hub of Dewey, IL! We're still here, but you couldn't talk to us... or view our web sites... or send us email. The evening of November 12, high winds blew a power pole down in Fisher, IL. This seems to have placed a 12,000 volt power line on the telephone cables that provide DCB (and all of Dewey, IL ) with our voice lines, T1 lines, and Internet connectivity. First word is that it took out about a mile of burried cable, and we won't know what other damage was done until that's replaced. As this is being written, (noon on Nov 13), we are attempting to get emergency re-routing of telephones and restore at least one T1 for our web server and email. Our redundant connections (T1 lines as well as POTS lines) sure didn't help in this case. By the time you can read this, of course, it will be back up. But, we thought you'd like to know what happened. Sure is quiet around here. |
