DACS/DCS Replacement Options
Current Production Offerings

While many manufacturers have manufacture discontinued (MD) their DCS/DACS, these are not yet "obsolete" technology. Legacy yes, not yet obsolete. Technology changes are evolutionary. While the transport is now more often than not packet, there are many TDM edge devices in service that need to be routed. DCS/DACS devices are definitely not yet dead at the edge. We offer DCS/DACS solutions that are current technology, will be manufactured and supported for at least another decade and offer a path into the next generation of packet switched network backbones.

Worried about the life of your old xx, yy, zz, DNX-11/88, or SPS 1000 equipment? How to obtain spares, warranty repairs, or out of warranty repairs, finding a vendor with technical expertise, and replacement products? While much of this hardware is manufacture discontinued with no stock left for sale or replacement and their technical people reassigned, you don't have to resort to questionable rebuilt used equipment or sources like ebay. We Have the Solution!

Loop Telecom North America, a joint venture of Loop International Inc. and Datacom for Business (DCB, Inc.) with mian offices in Illinois and Texas, is introducing several new products to the USA along with our well known and commonly used AM3440 integrated access device. The newly introduced G7860 Packet Network Transport, the V4150 DCS family, and the O9400 SONET/Packet platform work hand-in-hand with the AM3440 DACS/Acess Multiplexers currently in use by utilities, government, transportation and other industries. Loop Telecom NA, and DCB recently expanded their quarter century partnership to better support our existing and new customers with these products.

CXR is another long term DCB partner in the critical infrastructure marketplace. We've been selling and supporting their products for some time now, and are their North American representative and warranty partner. In addition to the many CXR ethernet-based products we support, the CXR MX-E3T3 is the preferred T3 to T1 multiplexer, supporting up to 16 DS0 TDM or ethernet channels via a single T3 connection.

These are the right products with the capabilities to transition from discontinued hardware to a new, modern and sustainable platform. They include maintenance and provisioning (OAM&P) functionality, with fault management, performance monitoring, configuration management, and network security management. The OAM&P can be achieved both locally and remotely via SNMP or menu-driven interfaces.

V4150 Picture The V4150 DS0 Cross Connect System is a standard compliant high density DCS systems with full T1/E1 and STM-1 (OC-3 ) cross-connect rack system. The V4150 DS0 Cross Connect System designs to have full add and drop capability up to sixteen STM-1 (OC-3) tributaries and 504 E1/T1 tributaries.

With system capacity support of 1344 T1 or 1008 E1 DS0 non-blocking cross connect matrix, the V4150 DS0 Cross Connect System offers high density capacity for E1, T1, STM-1(OC-3). The V4150-DCS includes 1+1, 1:1 and 1:N protection schemes for tributary cards.

It is easily paired with the G7860 Packet add-on and the O9400 OC3/12/48/Packet add-on for a full range, highly scaleable solution. When the AM3440 is added, there's fine grain DACS along with TDMoE, analog and digital bridging, and many other DS0 analog, digital and Ethernet option cards. More information here.

V9400 Picture The O-9400R supports 10G packet (MPLS-TP and CE), OC3/12/48, DS3, and non-blocking DS1 interfaces. With up to 4 STM-1/4/16 (OC-3/12/48) aggregate interfaces on cross-connect modules and 16 STM-1 (OC-3) interfaces on tributaries, the Loop-O9400R offers a versatile protection scheme including SNCP(UPSR), and MSP (1+1) protection for both ring and linear network topology.

The O9400R provides a complete set of operation interfaces that are consistent with the Telecommunication Management Network (TMN) concept (ITU Recommendation M.30, G.784) for SDH/SONET Network Element/Operations System (NE/OS), NE/NE, and NE/Craft communications as well as other ETSI standards and ITU recommendations.

The O9400R is easily paired with the G7860 Packet add-on and the O9500 OC3/12/48/10G Packet add-on for a full range, highly scaleable solution. More information here.

g7860 Picture The G7860 mPTN (MPLS/CE Packet Transport Network) is a new and cost-effective solution for transmitting many different data types, including traditional circuit-based traffic, over a packet-based transportation network.

By adopting MPLS-TP (Multi-Protocol Label Switching Transport Profile) and Carrier Ethernet technologies, the G7860 can transport Ethernet (EPL, EVPL, ELAN, EVC defined in MEF), E1/T1 TDMoE, and SONET/CEP* traffic.

The unit is also equipped with OAM tools to perform diagnosis on the LSPs (Label Switched Paths) and pseudowires. The Loop-G7860 series is a perfect packet transport platform for IP-Mobile and lease-line applications containing hub, ring and mesh topologies. More information here.

AM3440 acd chassis high density interfaces over TDMoE The Loop AM3440 blade chassis compliments these products by providing a DS0 and DS1 Digital Access Cross Connect Systems with full cross-connect support. When equipped with TDMoE cards, it is an ideal solution for transporting a large variety and high density of analog or digital interfaces over TDMoE. It supports CESoPSN and SAToP, MEF8 and provides both Copper and Fiber Ethernet connections. It also supports proprietary card, port and bundle protection as well RSTP Ethernet Ring protection. The AM3440 comes in a 2U, 3U and 5U chassis and can support up to 64 DS1 ports and up to 2,000 DS0 E&M, Serial (RS232, RS422, RS530, X.21, V.35), FXS or FXO, Transfer Trip, C37.94, Dry Contact Relay, Ethernet Channels, etc. in a fully protected configuration. The AM3440 is also used as the central aggregation point with numerous CIP or IP6704 units at the end points. It also supports the ABRA card allowing analog bridging of E&M circuits and digital DS0 bridging. Starting around $6,000 the AM3440 can be configured to support a number of interfaces. MX-E3T3 T3 to T1 Breakout The CXR MX-E3T3 is a PDH, DS3, E3 or T3 multiplexer to 16 T1- 1.544 Mbps interfaces. The MX-E3T3 provides a simple and cost effective solution for transporting multiple T1s over a single 34/45 Mbps data streem in a Telco or industrial environment. Since it extracts T1 links from a PDH /SDH network, it works well with other, high speed network components. The MX-E3-T3 can be configured with redundant power supplies, three ethernet interfaces for SNMP, VoIP service and for LAN to LAN bridging using one T1 inband channel.
