DCB mux data port dial up instructions
To connect a single PC or terminal to a mux port via dial up modem tail circuit.
Note: suggested setup strings for V.32 type modem. Not all modem manufacturers adhere to this standard, check
your modem manual. Configure modems by connecting to a terminal or PC set to the same speed as you intend to
run the mux port.
Modem connected to mux: AT&F&Q6&C1E0Q1S0=1&W
Modem connected to remote terminal or PC: AT&F&Q6&D2&K0&C1&W
or consult your modem manual to set your modem to these settings:
disable autobaud on DTE port and lock speed to match mux data port
set buffered async mode
DTR follows interface
DCD indicates presence of carrier
disable flow control
disable result codes (mux site modem only)
set auto answer on (mux site modem only)
save settings to memory
