Map34 V3.01 Release Notes 04/30/2024

1.0 INTRODUCTION

New major version release of Map34. Map34 development has been moved to Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 and will subsequently utilize the VS 2019 Run-Time.

This release adds the following features:

Support for performing file transfers with a third-party TFTP or SFTP server. Currently, SFTP transfers are only supported by the CCB controller.

This release corrects the following:

Map34 would report a mapping verification error when mapping the 6UDTEA card set for mode 1. The cross-connect would be created but would not be displayed by Map34.

Map34 would report an “unknown failure” error, when updating controller firmware on the CCPB-2GE and CCPB-8GE controllers. Although the firmware update would eventually succeed, Map34 was receiving a status code that it did not understand and would throw the error. The status codes were specific to PTN feature of the controllers.

Map34 could not create, nor could it read cross-connects with the single-port mini OCU/DP card.

This release adds the ability to copy a “Circuit Info” text string, from the Circuit Info View to the system clipboard. This will make the text string available for pasting.

Map34 V2.13 Release Notes 4/04/2023

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This release corrects a compatibility issue with the AM3440 CCPB controller and the 8-EM card. When cross-connecting an 8-EM port to a Pseudo-Wire channel, Map34 would throw a mapping verification error even though the cross-connect was successful created.

----------

Map34 V2.12 Release Notes 3/14/2023

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This release corrects two compatibility issues with the AM3440-E.

Cross-connects between the pseudo-wire ports and certain tributary cards may not display correctly after restoring the system from a saved configuration file.

The port names, used in the map export file, were not consistent for pseudo-wire ports.

Map34 V2.11 Release Notes 2/07/2023

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This release adds the following feature:

Added support for the AM3440 CCPB-2GE controller in a ‘C’ chassis.

This release corrects the following:

The new version of PuTTY, included in the v2.10 release, requires the Visual C++ 2019 Runtime libraries be installed on the system. While these libraries are usually already available on the system, there is no guarantee they are installed. The Map34 installer was modified to include the Visual C++ 2019 Runtime installer.

The Visual C++ 2019 Runtime libraries need only be installed once. After that, Windows system update will automatically update the libraries. A checkbox in the Map34 installer will allow the user to choose whether to Launch the Visual C++ 2019 Runtime installer. If the libraries are already installed, the installation will fail and display a message indicating a newer version of the libraries are already present on the system.

Map34 V1.24 Release Notes 9/19/2018

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This release adds support for the 6UDTEA card.

Loop added a new status code, 101 - "ok - need cold reset", to the file-transfer/firmware upgrade. Map34 was updated to support this new code.

Potential Issues:
There appears to be an AM3440 mapping bug when this card is configured for mode 1, "v1.110". In this mode, the card presents as having 6 Ports, each corresponding to a DS0. In both the CLI and SNMP, if you attempt to do a group map, the system will throw a "range" error. It will only allow 1 port to be mapped at a time.
