The Ethernet-Extender is a wired network range extender that extends 10/100 baseTx ethenet circuits up to 1,400 meters. The Ethernet-Extender uses twisted-pair telephones wires (AWG24 or better) up to 1.4km. Speeds are automatically maximized by the unit upon power up may be as high as 100 Mbps.
Now you can utilize older telco wiring as an ethernet extension cable or ethernet cord extender to extend your ethernet LAN throughout the facility.
The Ethernet-Extender is used in pairs (and sold in pairs).
The only configuration is to set a four position DIP switch, indicating that one unit is the remote and one is the local, and the profile to use. That's all
there is to it.

These are used to extend 10/100BaseT ethernet LANs using existing copper wire pair. While it won't work modernizing every old installation of telephone wire, it's amazing how many installations work well with telephone cables that has been installed for years.
