DESCRIPTION

Applications for the D-Series modems include those industrial strength applications where a rack mounting is required. a metal enclosure is required, or where the power source available is DC, rather than an AC wall outlet. It is ideal for telco installation, SCADA remote sites, or ISP POP locations. This is a current production product and DCB support is long-term.

These are not repackaged consumer grade modems. Designed from the ground up for our industrial customers, they are also more reliable on marginal phone lines than commonly used "retail store" modems.

The D-series modems are avialable in domestic (USA) or international versions with agency approval for most contries.

A unique optional version is the "Processor" model D-series modem. This unit adds an additional processor to the modem that allows unique command sets to be emulated or programmed into the modem. Most often used to emulate command sets from obsolete modems or other devices, this is a custom feature that requires factory programming for the required changes and volume commitment.
